Place main items into map first
Remove all portable (white) surfaces to begin with and add where needed.
Create a crucial theme for the chamber
“Lazers vs Turrets” or “Unlocking path to top of pyramid”
Add layer of complexity
Add extra steps
Use countdown timers
Give specific obstacles that are easy so the player feels like they’re making progress before they run into a challenge.
Make sure players can’t get stuck in an area. If a player falls into a ditch, with no way out or way to die they’ll have to exit the game to get back in.

Give player something easy to do at the start to make them feel some progression.
